Invitation to participate in a study on uncertainty in physics

Laura Schlueter

Dear colleagues,

I am a PhD researcher in Physics Education Research and I am inviting physics academics to take part in a research study exploring how uncertainty is understood and approached in physics.

The study involves a one-to-one interview (approximately 60 minutes) in which participants will be asked to discuss their thoughts on uncertainty, their use of uncertainties in their research as well as teaching and to work through a short, simple physics scenario. No specialist preparation is required, and the focus is on reasoning and reflection rather than performance.

The information sheet attached here contains more information.

If you are interested in taking part, please follow the sign-up link below. You will then receive and email from me to discuss further details.
